Idiotically, and I mean that (I looked it up – second definition: senselessly foolish or stupid), I wrote my MA dissertation on blogs. Specifically, something about blogs and the development of new journalism.

I think so anyway. I was drunk at the time. And, yes, I mean that too; but we can come back to that another day. . . .

Blogs. Blogs. Blogs. Everyone has one. Well, no, not everyone has one, but sometimes it feels that way. Like everyone is on Twitter and Instagram and Snapchat and, and, and. . . .

And, I digress. . . .

I think my point when I started this was to say, I’ve no idea what I’m doing here. I seem to recall that back in the day (that’s back in the day when I was doing that MA thang), the academics suggested that ‘blogs’ must contain links to other websites. That was about it as far as definitions went. So, I’ll link you to a few things here and there.

I also think I recall that blogs were sometimes news based and sometimes opinion based and sometimes both. Well, this is gonna be mostly opinion based – because I have an abundance of that.

Basically, it’s early days. I have an intense fear that I pushed the ‘go’ button too soon, because I’ve no earthly idea what my plan is. So, I hope you’ll be patient with me as I figure it out.

I plan to write a little bit about what goes on in my head, a little bit about ‘news’ that sets me off, a little bit about living and loving in the mountains of north Wales, and, if you’d like, I’m sure I can spout off on topics of your choosing . . . I’ve never known myself to shy away from a good rant. . . .

Thanks for the patience. Thanks for the support.
